Almond oil comes in two variants; bitter and sweet.
The sweet almond oil that comes exclusively from almonds (Prunus amygdalus var. dulcis) selectively cultivated.
It is the oil popularly used for skin and hair care.
Cocojojo's Sweet Almond Oil is 100% pure, cold pressed and extracted to be in its natural form without any solvent or chemical processing.
It is an excellent emollient and moisturizer that nourishes and softens the skin and hair, keeping them smooth and healthy. Pure Almond oil for face is a gentle oil that can be used on all sorts of skin including oily and sensitive skin. You can use almond oil for face as a makeup remover and face cleanser that remove makeup easily and cleans face without clogging pores. Pure almond oil for hair can be used as a moisturizer to help promote hair, scalp and prevent split ends. You can also use almond oil for hair to help some problems like flaky irritated scalp.Pure almond oil can be used to dilute the essential oil. Since essential oils evaporated rapidly, they can’t be used directly on your skin. For making them usable, you should combine them with carrier oils to change their properties. You can mix and match almond oil as a carrier oil with essential oils until finding your favorite oil.
Origin
Sweet Almond Oil is derived from the Almond tree which is also known as Prunus Dulcis and is native to the Middle East and South-East Asia where they have been cultivated for thousands of years.
But, today, Spain is regarded as the highest producer of Almond oil because of its fertile land for growing Almond seeds.
How is it made?
The Almond Oil extraction process begins by first blanching and pasteurizing the Almond kernels before the real cold pressing takes place.
The use of the cold pressing method ensures that the oil’s nutrients and its essential value remain unchanged or undamaged.

The nuts are crushed and ground using a stainless-steel equipment or traditional millstone to get the oil.
